Here’s a peek into her world:

1. What inspired you to join the Women in LegalTech community?

I joined the Women in LegalTech community because it's a truly dynamic space where diverse perspectives on legal technology converge. It allows me to approach the field from a multidisciplinary angle, broadening my understanding beyond just the legal aspects. Ultimately, I'm drawn to the community's focus on continuous learning and professional growth.

2. If you could solve one problem in the legal world (or beyond) with technology, what would it be?

I believe one crucial challenge is teaching the younger generation that technology is a tool, not a panacea. It's essential to cultivate a mindset of self-reliance and continuous learning, using technology to augment, not replace, human capabilities. In the legal field, this translates to making legal processes genuinely accessible to everyone, empowering them with the knowledge and language to navigate legal matters effectively.

3. What’s one book, podcast, or resource that’s made a big impact on how you think about work or life?

The book "Palace of Illusions" by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni has had a significant impact on me. Retelling the Mahabharata from Draupadi’s perspective offered a powerful lens through which to view the challenges women face and the strength they possess. It reinforced the idea that women can harness their emotions and inner resilience to overcome adversity and come up with empathetic solutions and achieve success.

4. Outside of work, what’s something you’re passionate about or love spending time on?

Outside of work, I'm passionate about traveling and dancing. They help me maintain a balanced and fulfilling life, which I find vital for both personal and professional well-being.

5. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received as a woman in your career journey?

The best advice I've ever received is to stay true to myself and believe in my abilities, regardless of the obstacles I encounter. This advice serves as a constant reminder to remain grounded and motivated, empowering me to persevere through any challenges that come my way.

6. If you weren’t working in law/legaltech, what’s another path you could totally see yourself in?

If I weren't working in law or legal tech, I could definitely see myself as an event organizer. I genuinely enjoy planning and curating memorable experiences for people.

Paavni’s journey embodies the spirit of modern legal academia — one that thrives on curiosity, innovation, and collaboration. By bridging rigorous research with accessible learning, she’s helping shape how future lawyers think about law in a world increasingly influenced by technology and AI.
