Lokeshwari Varshika works at the intersection of law, business strategy, and emerging technology. She currently serves as a Corporate Strategy Analyst at InstaPill, where she supports high-value mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and corporate growth initiatives within the pharmaceutical sector. Her work involves transaction structuring, due diligence, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration across legal, finance, and business teams.
Alongside her corporate strategy role, she works as a Case Manager at Sama, where she facilitates dispute resolution through mediation and stakeholder engagement, gaining practical experience in alternative dispute resolution and conflict management.
With a background in law and experience spanning contract drafting, negotiations, mediation, and strategy, Lokeshwari is particularly interested in how LegalTech, AI, and business strategy can transform traditional industries and create scalable solutions within highly regulated sectors. Her work is driven by a curiosity for innovation and a commitment to bridging legal expertise with technological and commercial thinking.

Here’s a peek into her world:
1. What inspired you to join the Women in LegalTech community?
My fascination has always been with technology — in all its forms. That fascination found a focus during my time at LSE Summer School, in a course on FinTech Law and Regulation, where I realized just how few women were in the room. I was one of a handful of women taking that course, and it sparked something in me. From there, I sought out communities and events supporting women in LegalTech, and ILTN became a powerful space to connect with women across domains. That’s when I truly understood how strong this community is — far stronger than I’d imagined. Joining Women in LegalTech wasn’t just about finding community; it was about becoming part of the shift. If more of us show up, speak up, and take up space, we reshape what this industry looks like.
2. If you could solve one problem in the legal world (or beyond) with technology, what would it be?
Having made a shift into the Pharma industry that still lags behind in extracting the optimal use of Technology and AI. Compliance shouldn’t be a privilege reserved for large organizations with big legal budgets. I’d love to see technology make regulatory compliance genuinely accessible to small businesses and individuals — removing the complexity, cost, and confusion that leave so many people exposed. When legal protection becomes democratized, everyone wins.
3. What’s one book, podcast, or resource that’s made a big impact on how you think about work or life?
A podcast episode featuring Bob Ambrogi, co-founder of LawNext, on what 30 years in LegalTech has taught him about law, reshaped how I approach problem-solving — in my daily life, in law, and in tech. It taught me to stop waiting for the perfect moment and start building, testing, and iterating. In a field as traditionally risk-averse as law, that mindset is quietly revolutionary.
4. Outside of work, what’s something you’re passionate about or love spending time on?
I’m an avid traveler — there’s nothing quite like immersing myself in different cultures and cuisines. To wind down, you’ll usually find me with my paintbrushes, letting creativity take over.
5. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received as a woman in your career journey?
“Enter rooms that scare you.” Walking into spaces that felt too intimidating, too far out of reach, has shaped who I am — and taught me to claim my place in them. In LegalTech especially, the women who move the needle are the ones who show up and claim their space before they feel fully ready.
6. If you weren’t working in Law/LegalTech, what’s another path you could totally see yourself in?
I’d have been a historian or travel journalist — exploring how history shapes the systems we live in, and how understanding the past helps us move away from broken ideologies and shape the leaders of tomorrow.
Lokeshwari’s work highlights the value of combining legal expertise with commercial and technological insight. She continues to build at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and dispute resolution, exploring new ways to create scalable and future-ready solutions.
