Here’s a peek into her world:

1. What inspired you to join the Women in LegalTech community?

I was inspired to join the Women in Legal Tech community to connect with like-minded professionals who are passionate about the intersection of law and technology. It’s inspiring to see women shaping the future of legal innovation.I wanted to learn, share experiences, and be part of a network that uplifts and empowers women driving change in this field.

2. If you could solve one problem in the legal world (or beyond) with technology, what would it be?

I’d love to see technology simplify access to justice, making legal help more transparent, affordable, and efficient for everyone. There’s so much potential for tech to bridge the gap between the legal system and the people it’s meant to serve, whether through AI-driven legal assistance, simplified documentation tools, or awareness platforms.

3. What’s one book, podcast, or resource that’s made a big impact on how you think about work or life?

I watched the talk “Will AI Take My Job?” by Karen Hao on YouTube and it really changed how I think about AI and Big Tech. Her perspective on how power, politics, and global inequality shape AI development really made me reflect on the ethical and human dimensions of technology, something that’s deeply relevant to how we approach legal and policy frameworks in this space.

4. Outside of work, what’s something you’re passionate about or love spending time on?

I enjoy cooking, trying out new recipes and occasionally diving into a good series.

5. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received as a woman in your career journey?

I think one piece of advice that I have to remind myself of pretty often is that- "As women, our voice matters, don’t wait for permission to use it."

6. If you weren’t working in law/legaltech, what’s another path you could totally see yourself in?

If I weren't working in law, I would've liked to pursue psychology. I'm always fascinated by human emotions, patterns of behaviour and what drives them.

Swati’s journey reflects the spirit of modern legal professionals — blending traditional legal expertise with a forward-looking approach to technology and collaboration. Through her role as ILTN’s Mumbai Ambassador, she continues to inspire a new generation of lawyers to explore, innovate, and lead with purpose.
