This week in our Waymaker Wednesday series, we’re spotlighting Apoorva Jain, a LegalTech Consultant based in New Delhi, who is dedicated to bridging the gap between legal teams and technology.
With deep expertise in AI-driven legal innovation, Apoorva is passionate about making technology work for lawyers, not against them. She has been helping firms and in-house teams adopt smarter workflows, streamline processes, and reimagine how legal services can be delivered in the digital age.
As an active member of the Women in LegalTech community under ILTN, Apoorva brings not just technical know-how but also a human-centered vision for how law and tech can evolve together. Her journey reflects the very essence of being a Waymaker, creating paths where none existed before, and inspiring others to follow.

1. What inspired you to join the Women in LegalTech community?
I wanted to be part of a space where women are not only shaping the future of legal technology but also supporting each other in the process. It’s inspiring to connect with people who share the same drive to make the legal world more accessible, innovative, and inclusive.
2. If you could solve one problem in the legal world (or beyond) with technology, what would it be?
I would focus on simplifying access to justice. Too often, legal processes are overwhelming, expensive, and out of reach for those who need them most. Technology has the power to make legal information and services more transparent and affordable, closing that gap.
3. What’s one book, podcast, or resource that’s made a big impact on how you think about work or life?
Atomic Habits by James Clear has been really impactful for me. It reframed how I think about growth. Small, consistent changes can create big transformations, both personally and professionally.
4. Outside of work, what’s something you’re passionate about or love spending time on?
I love traveling and exploring different cultures, especially through food. Trying new cuisines and learning the stories behind them is one of my favorite ways to connect with people and places.
5. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received as a woman in your career journey?
“Don’t wait until you feel 100% ready to go for an opportunity.” That reminder has pushed me to step into roles and projects that felt outside my comfort zone, and they’ve turned out to be some of the most rewarding experiences.
6. If you weren’t working in law/legaltech, what’s another path you could totally see yourself in?
I could see myself in education. Helping people learn and unlock new opportunities. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about breaking down complex ideas and making them approachable.
Apoorva’s journey reminds us that the future of law isn’t just about adopting technology. It’s about shaping it with purpose and empathy.
