The Indian LegalTech Network (ILTN) is pleased to share that it has submitted its comments on the Draft Regulations for Use of Artificial Intelligence in Courts, 2026, released by the Supreme Court of India for public consultation.
As part of our consultation process, ILTN hosted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with Mohit Mokal, Founder, Mohit Mokal Mediation, bringing together members of the legal and legaltech community to discuss the proposed framework, its practical implications, and opportunities to strengthen responsible AI adoption within the judiciary. To view the recording of the session, please click here.
The submission also draws upon discussions within the ILTN community and independent research by the contributors. Our recommendations seek to support a regulatory framework that is transparent, technology-neutral, future-ready, and centred on judicial independence, accountability, and public trust.
We thank everyone who participated in the discussions and contributed their insights towards this submission!
